Episode 8: Protecting Your Mental Health Onboard
Did you know that May is Mental Health Awareness month? To celebrate, and to help break the stigma, we decided to get personal with how mental health impacts crew members.
Being away from your friends and family for 6-10 months can break even the strongest of souls down. Mixed with the long hours, a confined environment, and stressful workplace interactions, cruise ships provide the perfect conditions to test healthy mental behavior.
In this episode we share our own personal stories with mental health disorders, as well as offer some tips and tricks for surviving a cruise contract with your mental health intact.
From developing a routine for self-care, to learning how to check in with your emotional state, we are here to help! Hopefully you are able to learn some helpful tips and learn how to best assist those in your cruise family!
